Social Science is a major category of academic disciplines, concerned with society and the relationships among individuals within a society. It’s in turn has many branches, each of which is considered a social science. I believe it is a social scientist purpose to connect with the public. Observations can be made of the Social science and conclusions can be assembled. Can only be made from being in the field of study. Providing solutions to societal issues that is what the social scientist is there for. They keep the base of society intact without them it would be chaos they determine if families need food stamps or shelter or providing temporary occupational service which in turn creates opportunities for individuals who reside in the slums to get on their feet and remain stable.  Research should always be accessible and relevant for public discourse simply so society can educate themselves they can figure out the benefits that are offered to them because of the connection social scientist has made with society. It is always beneficial to be in learning mode gaining knowledge and wisdom to spread amongst others and pass down information that we all could use.

         It is extremely for Social Scientist to practice public sociology in terms of research and questions and designs I would say because of the accurate data it could provide to the community bringing awareness to all issues or struggles we never knew individuals face. This will also demonstrate the acts of social scientist providing community service. Getting to know and understand the neighborhood this increases positivity, increases love, increase unity that creates the response of success making the community a better place. Lastly, I believe this class and line of questioning was useful. Before writing this I had to ponder for a moment of how social science has shape my community whether that be thru outreaches. Places I have volunteered myself such as the homeless shelter just to get interviews about how people got to these places I feel that when developing a connection with those who feel lost and alone in this world it’s the social science to determine what they need in all areas because many can survive on their own by themselves but when your at your breaking point and every door has been closed on your hopes and dreams and you feel like their no way out the social service of the social scientist comes to the rescue.
